History: Adriana Maria da Silva Siqueira (Adriana de Capela) is the sister of Tita and Sil, already renowned ceramic artisans. It was through them that he got closer to the art of clay, starting to frequent master João das Alagoas' workshop and helping Sil with small tasks, sifting, kneading the clay and soon after collaborating on his orders. “I started helping my sister Sil and she needed small jackfruits for a large order. I didn’t know how to do it and then she said to me: “How do you not know if you haven’t even started?” Sil taught her, and Adriana started producing and never stopped.
She has worked as an artisan for around nine years. With the skill assured, he gradually increased the size of the Jacas, until reaching the largest version, which measures between 50 cm and 60 cm. He found and consolidated his identity, guided by respect among fellow artisans and the teachings of master João das Alagoas. Today his Jacas are desired design pieces, decorating sophisticated environments throughout Brazil and abroad.
Note : Because they are produced by hand, each piece is unique, with no two being exactly the same. There may be small variations in dimensions (more or less), colors and tones between pieces and between what is perceived on cell phone or computer screens and the real pieces.
