History : Miniature canoe with oar in inlaid hardwood, produced by artisans who live on the banks of the Rio Negro, in the Amazon, one of the largest rivers in the world. All pieces are made from the reuse of wood discarded from shipbuilding and fallen trees in the Amazon forest, contributing to the financial support of families and the preservation of the forest.
Tourism Tip : the Anavilhanas National Park is located in the region, a fully protected federal area that encompasses one of the largest river archipelagos in the world, with more than 400 islands, hundreds of lakes and tributary rivers, all rich in plant species and animals.
