History: Miniature hardwood paddle in 03 different types of wood (Jatobá/Red, Roxinho/Purple and Angelim/Brown) , produced by an artisan who lives on the banks of the Rio Negro, in the Municipality of Novo Airão/AM, approximately 130 km from Manaus. All pieces are made from the reuse of wood discarded from shipbuilding and fallen trees in the Amazon rainforest, contributing to the financial support of families and the preservation of the forest.
Aruh Tourism Tip: within the municipality of Novo Airão is located the Anavilhanas National Park, a federal area of integral protection that encompasses one of the largest river archipelagos in the world, with more than 400 islands, hundreds of lakes, tributary rivers and streams, all rich in plant and animal species.
