History : Pieces made by artisans from the Amazon, inhabitants of communities on the banks of the Rio Negro, one of the largest rivers in the world, which flows into the Amazon River. Everyone in the group of artisans, as well as the rest of the community, are indigenous people belonging to the Baré people, speaking the indigenous language Nheengatú. They always take care to pass on the people's artistic skills to younger members, as they believe that this way they will be able to keep their culture and identity alive, expressed through art.
They use the forest's natural resources correctly, as sustainability is the group's focus to generate income and ecological visibility, always helping to balance ecosystems.
Note : Because they are produced by hand, each piece is unique, with no two being exactly the same. There may be small variations in dimensions (more or less), colors and tones between the pieces and between what is perceived on cell phone or computer screens and the real pieces.
